My husband and I had the best time on our Normandy, Brittany and Loire Valley tour. The towns and sites we visited were beautiful, but I think what really added to this tour was our guide, Suzanne. She is so knowledgeable and brought history to life. She did this with a dose of humor which helped to draw me in to the historical facts. I would travel anywhere with Suzanne! Our local guides were excellent as well. I will always cherish the memories I made on this trip!
My time in Thailand was full of adventure and pure enjoyment. The tour guide, Kong, played a big part in the overall experience. Each day he took us to new wonders and shared his knowledge and love of his country. Thailand’s beauty and its people were unfailingly welcoming, kind and helpful. Every meal was a new discovery of tastes, aromas & color. I was on sensory overload most days & enjoyed everything!
Our Grand Tour of France was amazing! Frank, our tour guide was very good, informative and helpful throughout the entire tour. We also enjoyed the additional guides in specific cities. It was a small group, but we appreciated the opportunity to get better acquainted with the other people on the tour. The special excursions were also great. All in all, it was a great tour!
Wonderful beginning of Fall trip! Absolutely loved this part of our great country! We were just a bit early in our travels for peak foliage, but even a little bit was awesome. Our Tour Director, Kurt, was great and made sure we had a great trip and learned details of every place we toured and more. He took care of everything for us. Our tour group was amazing, and we blended well together. We really had a great time and met wonderful new friends! If you haven’t seen this part of our country, this tour is for you!
This is truly an amazing Ireland experience. Billed as a great second visit to Ireland, I think it makes for a memorable first visit as well. The tour is light on Dublin time but that was radially rectified by staying a few extra days after the tour which the company helped us with. The scenery, history, and culture are stunning, going to visit places that are off the main tourist routes. Each day featured another stunning setting surrounded by mountains, bogs, stacked stone walls, the ocean, and sheep! If you're on the fence and are ok skipping the Blarney Stone I highly recommend picking this tour!
My Greece trip was a great reset to my life. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is fast pace so you get the most out of your time. I can’t say enough about our tour guide. She handled 18 strong women with encouragement and smile daily. If you are lucky enough to get Eleftheria count your blessing.
This is for the NEW YEARS EVE ROME TOUR
24 hours before we arrived we had a new TD Silvana that had to make all on site arrangements. She was available everyday for a specific time in the lobby. She did speak on the pickpocket situation in Rome.
Next time please have the TD use Whatsapp instead of the chat to communicate as the signal isnt always so great and not everyone wants to download the app. Hotel Saint John was close to transportation, a bank and local stores however lacked in so many ways. They had no ice machine, no garbage disposal area and couldn't provide a 2nd card for the other traveler until the following day claiming they ran out. The walls were thin and the bed sagged into a V shape. They did however provide a picture map of Rome which was nice but Google Maps is better. There's ALOT of walking on uneven cobblestones. The tour of the Roman Forum was too fast paced (she barely turned around) and when some of the group got left behind the bus almost left and basically blamed for not keeping up. The group asked from Day 1 for info on the fireworks and the night of we were escorted to the Colosseum and Silvana had another traveler ask the Police where it was at. Good thing the locals did something even though it really was her job to find out about this. We only received 2 metro tickets for 1/1 even though other EF tours handed them out at will. I planned all my other tours with Get Your Guide since basically every day was a free day. PS the TD was asked what exactly is open on New Years Day and we never got a straightforward answer so we wandered around. It would've been nice to actually show the group how to purchase metro tickets since I had no idea they were refillable for a cheaper price. I wish EF gave hotel info more than 30 days prior as reservations were needed way in advance at some of the desired places I wanted to attend. Also when booking my flight I was told it wouldn't cost more for the flight I desired but that was a lie. I could've and will purchase my own tickets for less than what I paid. There's gotta be a better way to request tipping because it wasn't brought (so I forgot) until I literally was in the car service back to the airport in which the TD asked me as I was entering and said she seeded it to tip the driver. Honestly I'd prefer the tip built into the package. Also travelers shouldn't feel pressured to rate the TD until the tour is actually completed.
The pasta making class was EXCELLENT!
Yes I will travel with EF again. I gave it 4 stars because I truly enjoyed Rome!
I found most of the trip to be amazing! My only complaint is that I don’t feel we were given enough time at the actual Christmas markets, as the trip is advertised. An hour at the larger markets is too rushed and sometimes we had not had a meal when we went to the markets, so we had to find something to eat as well as try to shop at the markets. Our tour director was fabulous!
